Wales lost 2-0 to Bosnia-Herzegovina in their friendly international at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli this evening.
Bosnia started the match the brighter of the two teams, when Edin Dzeko tried his luck in the very first minute but was fended off by Boaz Myhill.
Moments later Wales came close to breaking the deadlock, first through Sam Vokes and then through Joe Allen, but were thwarted on both occasions with the newly-signed Liverpool player hitting the bar.
Bosnia too were fended off by the frame of the goal when Boris Pandza headed against the Wales post from close range.
Both Wales and Bosnia continued to try to get the better of each other, but it was the visitors who eventually went ahead in the 21st minute.
Vedad Ibisevic found himself with Stevanovic's pass inside the Wales six-yard box, and he made no mistake in finding the target to give Bosnia a 1-0 lead.
Chris Coleman's side went in immediate search of an equaliser and tried to carve out chances for themselves, as their defensive mistakes continued to give Bosnia chances to double their lead.
Gareth Bale came close with a shot in the 36th minute, but it was staved off by Asmir Begovic.
Bosnia got off the blocks the quicker of the two teams in the second half, and were rewarded with their second goal of the evening.
Miralem Pjanic found Mirsolav Stevanovic and the latter scored from a tight angle to make it 2-0 to the Bosnians.
Neither side managed to make any breakthrough on goal thereafter, as Bosnia deservedly defeated Wales 2-0 in the end.
